In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Afloat.”

cruise ship afloat on Frenchman's Bay, Maine

While vacationing in Bar Harbor, Maine, a popular tourist destination that ranges from couples like us driving up along the coast of New England, or large numbers of people pouring in from cruise ships, coastal Maine handles it all in stride. My husband and I went to nearby Acadia National Park and marveled at the gorgeous natural beauty, and in this view, of how the low hanging clouds stubbornly hovered over Frenchman’s Bay, well past noon.  The misty fog on an otherwise sunny day lends the impression that this cruise ship traversed across a  fulcrum of sea and air. The clouds appear to lift the ship afloat into the air.
