Forest and farmland

This image, applied with a 30% strength HDR filter, appeals to me because it shows the raw, light-brown farmland, eagerly accepting the water that will change it from a barren brown to verdant green. The man-made, metal irrigation structures and sprinkler heads produce the soft, but transformative power of water. Properly managed, the earth keeps giving back in a cycle of sowing, growing and harvest. Forever changing. The forest line in the background represents an uncultivated state of nature. Forest and farmland, necessary and neighborly.
