Hello. I am a Communications Specialist at the University of Delaware College of Agriculture & Natural Resources, primarily operating from their Sussex County campus located in Georgetown. In that capacity, I have an opportunity to shoot agriculture-themed scenes and related events. I contribute photos on four work-related Flickr accounts – UDExtension, Carvelud, Delaware 4-H and occasionally on UDCANR.
This site evolved from a Weebly website created for a University of Delaware online photography course focused on smart phone photography. We were given lessons to complete and submit our photos on the site and on Instagram. Occasionally you will see #UDPhoneography. That’s why.
I have been a passionate photographer all my adult life. My other passion is gardening. That explains all the flowers. I sold cameras part time in my late 20s and 30s. My first ‘real’ camera was a Pentax ME Super. I upgraded to a Nikon D50 about 10 years ago and now shoot with a NikonD7100 and also my iPhone, which has rendered some of my best images ever.
The best photographic equipment to own is something we already have. Our eyes. Our brain. No camera in the world can capture a good image unless it can first be imagined. I have an intermediate-level proficiency on Photoshop. On mobile I use Snapseed, Wood Camera, and for fun, two cool apps called Waterlogue and TangledFX.
I accept restoration work and my pricing is very reasonable. I offer a quick turn around, but if time is not an issue, my restoration work is quite meticulous.
I am available for weddings locally (Delaware) and offer packages with and without processing. I hope to show more in a wedding portfolio in the future.
